Before re-contouring you can see the teeth appear small due to the gums growing down over top of the teeth. -
After the procedure the new smile has changed dramatically to highlight the teeth. Before the procedure the teeth look uneven and are hidden by the excess gum. After the procedure the teeth are much more balanced and naturally reveal more of the tooth.

You can see the teeth look larger. Really the teeth just have normal gingiva after the re contouring procedure. -
The teeth look small because of the gingival over growth. Gingival overgrowth is a common occurrence while wearing braces. It can be permanent or can linger for years after the braces come off. -
